...who feels the need to take a break from an increasingly dysfunctional relationship.

We can't usually afford to do much in a given month regardless but I'll gladly save any money we would have spent to help this cause. Megaupload was just the beginning. If we don't make our voices heard now the internet will soon change and it won't be for the better.

ACTA in a Nutshell –

What is ACTA?  ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.

Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”

What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

I'm so fucking tired of unreliable people, who take on a commitment but then won't stick to it. May you find worms in your apples.

Exams are over! Well, not technically, because I still have two letf at the beginning of september, but I'm still satisfied.

AND NOW I GOT FREE TIME. Which means time to do potentially stupid things, instead of doing something productive such as begin studying for the Japanese literature exam, which will be like climbing fucking mont Everest. Well.
I'll be conducting a study, instead. A study on how much accurate information about a tv series I can obtain by reading fanfiction about it, mainly AU. Hey, I never said I was an intelligent person.

I've added a link to Less Than Three Press (http://www.lessthanthreepress.com) on the "pimpage" list, on the right ^^
From the site:

"Are you looking for romantic gay fiction featuring all happy endings, all the time? Then you're in the right place! LT3 Press offers gay fiction through our weekly serial fiction subscription, ebooks, and print books available through Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com, and Books-A-Million. "

I mainly buy Megan Derr's books, but the other authors are good as well. The prices are fair, and well, happy endings, all the time? YES PLEASE <3
I discovered this over at maderr's journal, my thanks to her for pointing out this jem.

Oh gods, this must be a joke. Magical foreskin.
That's one author I know I'll never waste time reading.

Suzuki M. is one of my Japanese lecturers at university; she teaches us how to write kanji.
She is utterly beautiful, but her beauty is discreet; she's elegant and refined. She's always gorgeous, when she smiles and when she doesn't. She speaks quietly and everything about her sends off an aura of composure and quiet elegance. I'd love to see her in a traditional kimono.

The first lesson after the tragedy that hit Japan, she showed us the kanji for tsunami and jishin (earthquake), and explained how her people can live with this, their complicated relationship with nature. She had dark circles under her eyes and looked tired, immensely so, and about to cry; but she didn't.

She's like take (竹, bamboo), which bends and bends, but doesn't break. This is nobility of the soul.

My thoughts go to Japan. Be strong.
